Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov underlined that all the western sanction imposed against Iran should be immediately removed if Tehran and the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany) strike a final deal on July 1.
“We lay emphasis on our stance that all the sanction related to the resolutions of the UN Security Council against Iran should be removed concurrent with final nuclear agreement,” Ryabkov said on Friday.
On April 2, Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany) adopted a joint statement after nine days of marathon talks in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The statement was read out in a joint press conference in the Swiss city on April 2 by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini.
According to the Lausanne statement, none of Iran’s nuclear facilities and previous activities will be stopped, shut down or suspended and Iran’s nuclear activities in all its nuclear facilities, including Natanz, Fordo, Isfahan and Arak will continue.
On Thursday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei specified conditions for a final nuclear deal with the world powers, and underlined that Iran doesn’t allow any inspection of its defensive and military centers.
